True Veterinary Care provides veterinary preventive, medical, dental and surgical care for Verona, Madison, Fitchburg, Oregon, Belleville and the surrounding communities. Sarah Kalstrup, DVM started this independently owned and operated clinic in August of 2013. True Veterinary Care was named Gold winner of Madison Magazine's Best of Madison for 2018, 2019 and 2020. In 2015, we were named a finalist for the AAHA-Accredited Practice of the Year Award by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The AAHA-Accredited Practice of the Year Award is designed to recognize the outstanding achievements of accredited veterinary practice teams, along with celebrating the ongoing advancements in veterinary medicine. Our mission is to treat every person and animal with respect, provide exemplary medical care and client service, include and educate owners in their pets' healthcare, and continuously strive to listen and learn. We offer wellness plans, which we strongly believe help improve the quality of animal care, as well as help offset the costs for pet owners.
-- "We highly recommend Sarah and our 12 year-old Springer Spaniel (Charlie) thinks she is an excellent vet! The very first time Sarah saw Charlie, he was very sick, in a lot of pain, and was struggling to walk. She sat on the floor with Charlie and spent 45 minutes with us, listening to the various unsuccessful treatments prior vets had tried. She correctly diagnosed the root cause of his problem and prescribed a holistic treatment plan that was very effective. Charlie went from struggling to walk to once again jumping into the lake and swimming. Since that first visit, we were convinced that Sarah was THE vet for Charlie and over the years we continue to be impressed by Sarah's skills, knowledge, compassion, and her commitment to quality care."
